The Order of the Eastern Star is a fraternal organization dedicated to Charity, Truth and Loving Kindness.  The Order is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both men and women may belong.  Only men who are Masons are eligible and only women with specific Masonic affiliation may become members.  Midlothian Chapter No., 85 is one of the youngest chapters in the state of Virginia and has grown over the years to become well known for its fellowship and service to the Order.  Together we enjoy fellowship and charity work.  The Eastern Star has five points and five colors as indicated in our emblem.  Each start point represents a heroin of the Bible.  Its teachings are based upon the Bible, but the Order espouses no religion.  We work with the Masonic Lodge and Masonic youth groups doing various projects.  The largest project for Midlothian Chapter is our sponsorship of the Holly Days Bazaar in November each year.  We work really hard, but have a wonderful time.  Some of the other charities that are supported by our Chapter are Cancer Research, Heart Fund, Knights Templar Eye Foundation, and Shriners’ Hospital for Crippled Children, local Christmas Mothers, local food banks, and many others throughout our community and state.

If you are interested in the Eastern Star and/or wish to become a member, please feel free to speak with any of our chapter officers.
